Scarperia is only a short train or car ride away from the Tuscan capital, Florence, where one can enjoy a full day of history and sightseeing.

If you're still in the mood, from the bridge you can easily reach the Pitti Palace, home of many of Florence's nobility, with the Boboli Gardens in the back.
